  • Monolithe Statue at Sravanabelagola Jain Temple in Karnataka is 58.6 feet high. The giant statue cannot be viewed from the bottom of the Indragiri hill because of the high temple walls surrounding it. One must climb more than 600 uneven steps carved into the rock. Bahubali, was a warrior who renounced the material life in order to lead a strict ascetic life in accordance with Digambar Jain monk order.
